...When he goes, he really goes...
Hullo Friends! We had a blast last month performing at Club Leisure's 8th anniversary night at The Cat Club in San Francisco. Thanks again to DJ's Omar, Aaron, and Jeremy for allowing us to be a part of their big night. As some of you have seen from our recent Facebook post, we recently made a big announcement regarding one of our band members. Our beloved Guitarist Sam Crocker will be playing his last stateside shows with TCB in October. Sam's family have received a tremendous opportunity to live and work in London England for 2 years (or longer) and he will be leaving the Bay Area with them at the end of the month. Although we are sad to see Sam leave we are very excited for him and the opportunity he has to live overseas. Sam has done a tremendous job during his time with TCB and we can't thank him enough for all the work and travel he has done with over the past year. Despite losing Sam, TCB will carry on and we do have a new guitarist who will be joining after Sam leaves. We will introduce Sam's replacement towards the end of October. Don't miss the chance to catch Sam at his last upcoming Bay Area headlining shows - Friday October 4th @ Cafe Dunord in San Francisco and Saturday October 5th @ The Blank Club in San Jose. We sold out both of these venues last time out, so advance tickets recommended where available. Sam will also be on hand to perform with us at our Central Valley show @ The Cellar Door in Visalia on Saturday October 12. Lastly, Sam will join us for one more show in late November - our first ever show outside of the country! More details on that as we get closer to the show date.

...I'm right here where I always was...
Dearest TCB fans and friends - Apologies for us going so long with no site updates. If you've been keeping up with current events via our Facebook page, you will know the band has had tremendous change over the past year. Despite these changes TCB is still very much alive and going strong! To Recap: Long time TCB members Ben and Paul played their final shows with the band in September 2012 and singer Michael played his last show in early 2013. Despite these losses, TCB drummer/founding member Nick Laquintano carried on and assembled a new lineup. This new lineup has now been in place for several months and consists of Konrad Knutsen on vocals, Sam Crocker on guitar, Mark Sharp on Bass, and Nick on drums. This lineup has played several very successful shows in spring/summer 2013, including sold out shows in San Francisco, San Jose, and a very successful tour of the Pacific Northwest. We have been very flattered to have many longtime TCB fans tell us the band sounds better then ever!
Our site will now be updated on a regular basis so check back frequently for updates on upcoming shows/events/pics, etc. NEXT UP: TCB will be performing at Club Leisure's 8th Anniversary night. Club Leisure is San Francisco's monthly Britpop night hosted by our longtime friends, DJ Aaron Axelson and DJ Omar. We will also soon be announcing several more shows we have scheduled this fall. Thanks so much for hanging in there with us!

Because We Must
First off, we should mention that our "Your Arsenal" show last month was our most successful album-themed show ever, and we all had a riot at The Blank! Thanks to all of you who came out to celebrate with us. (There's some great video of that show and the previous show at The Cat Club, all found in recent YouTube uploads.) That brings us to our upcoming milestone show at San Francisco's Café Du Nord (9/28). We'd already shared that both Benjamin and Paul would be leaving TCB after that show, but there are now some further developments. Yesterday, Michael announced that he too has chosen to make this next TCB show his last, bringing an abrupt end to his short but electrifying tenure with us. If you're keeping track, this means the Morrissey, Johnny, and Andy roles will all be vacated at the end of the month! Despite this almost complete turnover of personnel, our drummer Nick is determined to carry on and will presumably put together an entirely new band using this same name. So while you may have a very different TCB to look forward to in the future, you do still have this one last chance to see the current line-up before we disband. Don't miss this last opportunity as original guitarist Benjamin Hudson (7 years) and longest running bassist Paul Skibitzke (4 years) join tragically short-lived singer Michael Cumpian in our combined final show playing the beloved music of The Smiths. Fittingly, our oldest and bestest friends in tribute land, For The Masses, will be joining us to help celebrate and commiserate. We probably don't need to tell you that Du Nord tends to fill up fast, and given the extra significance of this farewell show, a sell out is very likely. You are strongly encouraged to get your advanced tickets here. Come join us once more, friends!

Your Arse An' All
This last weekend's show at Club Gossip was one of most fun we've had in some time! It was great to see so many old friends out at the show and dancing until closing time! Thank you all, and thank you DJ Damon et al for having us back! Next month, we're looking forward to celebrating the 20th anniversary of Morrissey's classic album "Your Arsenal!" As you probably know, there is so much rich history around this seminal album in terms of songs and the personnel involved. We'll be storming San Jose's Blank Club (8/17) and playing the whole album live! In addition, Benjamin and Paul's final show with TCB is now officially on the calendar for September 28th at San Francisco's Café Du Nord. More details to come for that one, but being that it's the end of an era, you can be sure tickets will go fast. Don't miss your last opportunity to see Benjamin and Paul with This Charming Band and say your farewells!
July 1st, 2012
Again, we want to thank all of you who came out for the last few amazing shows! We had an incredible trip to the Pacific Northwest, where we saw a ton of you in Portland, then joined Fascination Street for a sold out farewell show in Seattle. It could not have been more fun... or a bigger success! Then just last night we had the pleasure of playing San Jose's illustrious Landmark Ballroom, joined by DJs Tanoa and Raul Castro, not to mention a whole cast of Barbary Coast burlesque dancers. (One of the many highlights was Sparkly Devil and her "Bona Drag" act, in which she walked on stage dressed as Moz himself, flowers and all!) In other news, our own Benjamin and Paul had the fortune to meet the Andy Rourke this last week as he appeared for a DJ set at Popscene. As you might guess, he was incredibly kind, and we were incredibly honored! Finally, we've got a couple more shows to announce as the summer burns on. In two weeks, we're excited to make a return appearance at San Francisco's excellent Club Gossip (7/14), and next month Benjamin and Paul make their final appearance at one of their favorite places: San Jose's Blank Club! That one will be special in its own right, as we'll be looking to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Morrissey's "Your Arsenal" by playing the entire album live. We hope to see you at these shows friends! As usual, find the whole calendar on our shows page, and see you soon!

So much news... where to begin?
We'd like to thank all of you for coming out in Oakland, Reseda, and Riverside over the past couple of weekends. Oakland meant opening for the venerable Polecats! They had a great set, and so did we... but the honor was all ours and in a big way: Boz Boorer himself joined us for two of his own works, "Jack The Ripper" and "Now My Heart Is Full!" And believe us that now our hearts are full, because that was an on-stage encounter we won't soon forget. Thank you Boz! Then in SoCal this last weekend, we tried out a couple of new towns for us, and both were big successes! We felt the love in Reseda, and then Riverside was the kind of crowd that first made us fall in love with SoCal way back in 2006. It didn't hurt that the Moz Krew made a rare reunion appearance for the show. It was a total Smiths lovefest. All of these memorable moments were bittersweet though, as they came on the heels of the news that both Benjamin Hudson (guitar) and Paul Skibitzke (bass) will be exiting TCB at the end of the summer. Last weekend was their final SoCal appearance, and this weekend's shows in the Pacific Northwest will be their final shows there. A few more shows (including a few yet to be announced) are all that's left for them, so don't miss your last opportunities to see this classic line-up of TCB! More on this news soon, but note that beyond the summer, TCB is dedicated to continuing on -- so you can expect to see Nick, Michael, and some new faces coming in the future! Looking towards this weekend, you can snag advanced tickets for Friday's Portland show here, and Saturday's Seattle show here. Our friends For The Masses will be making the trek with us for both shows. We'll also be joined by duelling Cure tributes, with theXplodingboys in Portland and Fascination Street in Seattle -- it being their last ever show! With so much going on, it's hard to keep up... but the shows page is always the place to start. See you soon, friends!

Make a circuit with us!
First off, thank you to everyone who joined us for this last weekend's shows at The Catalyst and Slim's to celebrate Morrissey's birthday (which is tomorrow, incidentally)! They were every bit as amazing as we'd hoped, and that's all thanks to you! Slim's was especially good, with Michael's San Francisco debut, guest appearances by David from For The Masses, and our own Nick Laquintano's debut on acoustic guitar for "King Leer" and "Seasick, Yet Still Docked!" Did we mention the Slim's show happened to fall on Boz's 50th birthday? Because we have more Boz news... we can now announce that we are set to open up for Boz and The Polecats on Thursday, June 7th at The Uptown in Oakland! Needless to say we are thrilled about this one and absolutely cannot wait. We're all fans of The Polecats, and we're honored to share a bill with these legends. Come out to The Uptown for what is sure to be a packed house! You can pick up your advanced tickets here, and as usual, the shows page has the details for this (and every other) show...

Morrissey's birthday and hitting the road...
Morrissey's birthday weekend is just around the corner, and we're excited for our upcoming shows! We start off on Friday (5/18) at Santa Cruz's Catalyst, joined by For The Masses and The Jean Genies, then the very next night, Saturday (5/19), it's our annual big show at Slim's right here in San Francisco, joined by For The Masses and Spellbound! It's sure to be a weekend to remember. And check out the lovely Moz poster art by local mod artist extraordinaire Galine MoDemoiselle! Remember advanced tickets are available for the Slim's show through their ticketing site. Then on the horizon, we've got some travel plans. We'll be hitting SoCal in June by way of Weber's Place in Reseda (6/15) and Mission Tobacco Lounge in Riverside (6/16). The very next weekend, we go northwest and make a long-awaited return to Portland's Wonder Ballroom (6/22), followed by Seattle's Tractor Tavern (6/23). It's shaping up to be a busy summer for TCB, and you don't know the half of it! Keep up on our shows page as even more dates will continue to be announced. See you next weekend, charmers!
March 25th, 2012
The reviews are in, and our new singer Michael has been extremely well-received (as we knew he would be, given his high marks on TCB's Official Entrance Exam). Thank you all who came out in the rain last night to witness Michael's maiden flight -- a grueling pair of sets totalling nearly 40 songs in all! We look forward to many more with him, including our big Morrissey birthday shows in May! In fact, tickets for the Slim's show (5/19) are now available on their ticketing site. For our part, we're busy planning some surprises which you cannot bear to miss. We'll see you soon, friends!

... in which a new Moz emerges.
We promised big news, and we're here to deliver! First off, our Morrissey birthday weekend shows are confirmed... not only will we be returning for our annual big show at Slim's (5/19), but we'll also be making our debut the night before at Santa Cruz's Catalyst (5/18)! Needless to say, these are both big shows for us, and we're looking forward to seeing you all there! Keep up with the details as they become available on the shows page. The big news doesn't stop there. We are thrilled to announce that we have a new singer joining us as our full-time Moz! His name is Michael, and you may have the pleasure of seeing his debut this Saturday at Dan's in Walnut Creek! The news is bittersweet though as this means we say goodbye to our good friend Virgil (of San Diego's "Still Ill"). You've known him as our gracious Moz-for-hire since we began our search for a permanent replacement back in 2010, and we cannot thank him enough for helping us to keep TCB going these last two years. Please help us thank Virgil and welcome Michael as a new era of TCB begins...

So long, winter!
Well friends, we're exhausted after a slew of shows these last couple of months. We want to say thanks to all of you who came out to join us in Merced, San Jose, Sacramento, San Francisco, and Fresno! It was a handful of excellent shows, which saw us aided by the excellent For The Masses, Jean Genies, and Darkwave! We're looking forward to kicking off the spring season with a bunch more great shows, the first of which will be a rare East Bay appearance by way of our debut at Dan's in Walnut Creek (3/24)! More shows to be announced soon... and speaking of announcements: there's some huge TCB news on the way! Stay tuned!
January 9th, 2012
... and on to 2012!
Less than two weeks until we make our first ever appearance in Merced by way of The Partisan on Saturday, January 21st! We're excited to be joined by our good friends For The Masses for our first show of 2012! It'll be a good long set of hits and deep cuts, so if you're in the Central Valley, you won't want to miss out. Not to mention we've got some great shows coming up in some of our usual Bay Area haunts. And as usual, the shows page has all the specifics. See you soon, friends!

Brixton Again (Again)
Last month's show at Cat Club was so much fun! Thanks everyone who came out to see it, especially all you new faces. We hope to see you again, and soon! In fact, how about next Saturday? We're coming up on the 25th anniversary of The Smiths' last concert, held at the Brixton Academy. And to celebrate, we're returning to the fabulous Queen Is Dead night at San Francisco's Milk Bar on Saturday, 12/17! We'll be performing that final set, song for song, exactly as it was heard at that fateful final show -- complete with all of its hits and unexpected gems! For you long-time TCB fans, you may remember we did something for the 20th anniversary way back in 2006. That was one of the most memorable nights in TCB history, and this time around we expect it'll be even better! Check out the shows page for all the details, as well as a sneak peak at a January date booked in the Central Valley...

The Latest "Gossip"
First off, thanks to all who joined us last weekend at Café Du Nord! The Jean Genies and Neil Martinson were both fantastic, and so was the lovely crowd! But if you missed it, it just so happens you're in luck! In a rare move, we're returning for another SF show the very next month! On Saturday, November 12th, we're excited to be joining forces with Club Gossip for the first time ever! It'll be a special Smiths tribute night with DJs Daniel Skellington and Sage, as well as VJs Shon, Low Life, and Damon! The night will be hosted by Randy Maupen and Dina Robinson, with visuals by Vis A Vis. We've been going to Gossip for years, so we're thrilled to finally share a night with them at The Cat Club next month! As usual, the shows page has the details... see you then!

More news for Café Du Nord!
Some late-breaking news about this Saturday's show, friends... First off, we're excited to announce that former SF Weely "DJ Of The Year" Neil Martinson (of SMiLE!) will be spinning his brand of Bowie-era Glam, Smiths-era New Wave, plus some Soul, Bubblegum, and Pop before and between sets! And in addition, one lucky guest will win the just-released "Smiths Complete" CD box set from Rhino! We're talking 106 tracks, all lovingly remastered by Johnny Marr himself! That's all eight Smiths albums, in mini vinyl replica packaging, and wrapped up in a brand-spanking-new box. Well we've got one, and somebody's going home with it this Saturday night! Will it be you?

We knew it was gonna happen someday!
We had such fun playing at U.C. Berkeley's Botanical Garden last month! Playing in a redwood grove in the great outdoors. Fresh air and a casual setting added to a truly one-of-a-kind show that we won't soon forget! Coming up this Saturday (10/22), we're back in San Francisco proper for a big show at Café Du Nord! We've got some new songs planned, and we're bringing back some sorely-missed older ones. And best of all, we're going to be joined by a new David Bowie tribute The Jean Genies! Join us for what is sure to be an exciting night of Smiths, Moz, and The Thin White Duke as we reunite these giants of popular song for the first time since their falling out in the early 90's. TCB shows often get a great turnout at Du Nord, so you are advised to get your tickets early here!

Summer rolls on!
We've had some great shows lately, including another spectacular night at Bimbo's, and we just got back from our most successful night yet at Bakersfield's Fishlips, followed by a return to SoCal with our first show at The Key Club! Such amazing shows, where we had the pleasure of being joined by truly amazing bands. Thanks again to all of you who joined us on stage or in front of it! In just a couple weeks, The Blank Club (8/12) with For The Masses and Blue Lamp (8/13) where we're playing stag. And one more local show to announce! We're thrilled to finally get to play out in Berkeley at a rare all ages show. And it's early in the day! On a Thursday (9/1)! This never happens, so if weekends and late nights don't typically work for you, here's an ultra-rare chance to catch us! It's all part of U.C. Berkeley's Redwood Grove Concert Series, where we'll get to play a small outdoor ampitheater surrounded by redwoods! How Zen! It should be memorable. Check the shows page for all the details!

Summer shows are on the horizon...
Thanks to everyone who joined us for another exciting and successful Moz birthday show at Slim's in May! Since then, we've been taking it easy and recovering, but that's all about to change as we gear for a handful of summer shows! First off, on Friday (7/22) we're opening up for Tainted Love at Bimbo's 365 Club right here in San Francisco! Then the very next weekend, we head south for a return to Bakersfield by way of Fishlips (7/29). The next night we head down to West Hollywood for a rare SoCal appearance at The Key Club (7/30), where we'll be opening up for the premier Oingo Boingo tribute Dead Man's Party! Not enough? Well in August, we defend our turf at The Blank Club in San Jose (8/12) and Blue Lamp in Sacramento (8/13). We're looking forward to seeing all of your faces and dancing our legs down to the knees as we make the rounds this summer. As always, check the shows page for details on upcoming dates!

We're kicking off next weekend with our first venture into Modesto at Jax On H (5/13). Then the next night, we're celebrating the 25th anniversary of the release of The Queen Is Dead by playing the entire album in Fresno at Club Fred (5/14). Finally, we're finishing out the month with our annual Moz Birthday Show at Slim's (5/20)! This huge all-ages night will also include For The Masses and Sing Blue Silver! Torrential Rains; Morrissey's Birthday!
Big thanks to everyone who braved the storm last night to make Milk Bar one of the more exciting TCB shows in recent memory. It's always a privilege to play for rabid Smiths fans like us! We hope you all had as much fun as we did! If you missed us last night though, your next chance here in San Francisco is... our annual Morrissey Birthday Show at Slim's! This holiest of days falls on a Sunday this year, but that won't do. Instead, we're celebrating more conveniently on the nearest Friday (5/20). And this year, we're thrilled to be joined by our friends For The Masses (tribute to Depeche Mode) and Sing Blue Silver (tribute to Duran Duran)! Slim's is traditionally our biggest night of the year, and we pull out all the stops! On top of that, it's a rare all ages event! If you see any TCB show this year, this will be the one to see! As always, check out the shows page for all the details as they become available.

Spring is heating up...
After another sold out crowd with Tainted Love last weekend, we're setting our sights on next weekend's "The Queen Is Dead" event at Milk Bar. We're hoping to see lots of friendly faces at this new Smiths night! Beyond that, we have a few more shows to announce as we put together our vernal line up. April Fool's Day, we're returning to Sacramento's Blue Lamp (4/1), followed by a supporting slot for Super Diamond at Petaluma's Mystic Theatre (4/2)! It'll be our first time at that reputable venue, and we can't wait! Then in May, we're looking at our first trip to Modesto at Jax On H on Friday, 5/13, followed by a return to Fresno's Club Fred on Saturday, 5/14. Northern and central California: TCB is taking care of you this spring! Keep an eye on the shows page for all the details.

Surprise show! And welcome to a new Smiths night!
Thanks again to everyone who came to a sell out show at Bimbo's this month! We love that place! And special thanks to our friends Tainted Love for having us along! I guess they liked us, because they've asked us to join them again at Santa Rosa's Last Day Saloon on Friday, March 4th! As we can personally attest, these guys bring a huge crowd, so another sell out is a real possibility. You may want to consider purchasing your tickets in advance here. We're also thrilled to join up with San Francisco's fantastic new monthly Smiths club night "The Queen Is Dead" which is held at Milk Bar every third Saturday. We'll be playing a set with them there on March 19th... more details to come!

Continued Bay Area Success!
We can't thank enough all of you who helped us sell out the Blank last weekend, as well as the 350+ who joined us last week at Popscene/Rickshaw! So many great friends, and this includes the talented Sing Blue Silver in San Jose and Dead Souls in San Francisco. Special thanks to Dead Souls for all the past shows. The Bay Area misses you already! As for TCB, our homestand continues at Bimbo's 365 Club (2/12), where we'll be opening for 80's cover band experts Tainted Love. We're really looking forward to playing this place again -- one of the best in S.F. -- so don't miss out!

2011 kicks off with something different...
Happy belated New Year! We hope you enjoyed the holidays, but now it's time to dance off all those extra calories, because January has two Bay Area TCB shows in store for you! This Friday (1/21) we'll be at The Blank Club in San Jose with Sing Blue Silver (who helped us sell out last time they joined us there). Then the following Thursday (1/27) we'll be welcoming San Francisco's venerable Popscene to its new home at Rickshaw Stop! This is sure to be a huge night, not least because opening the bill will be our old friends Dead Souls, playing their last show ever! And on top of that, it's 18 and over, so you not-quite-21-year-olds won't even have to score a fake I.D. Come help us say a bittersweet "goodbye" to an amazing Bay Area tribute band and "hello" to a big new venue for Popscene. All happening this very month!
November 15th, 2010
Happy birthday to us!
Thank you to all of the amazing fans who came out Friday and helped us celebrate our fifth birthday with a massive sell out show at Café Du Nord! And apologies to anyone consequently turned away at the door; we wish there had been room for everyone, but please catch us next time! Thanks also to the amazing For The Masses for helping us out and being a part of that special night! We love all of you! For those of you who didn't get enough, or who maybe just saw us for the first time and want more, we're already working on shows for the new year. More to come, but confirmed so far is Friday (1/21) at San Jose's Blank Club! Keep checking our shows page for new updates to the calendar. Looking forward to seeing all of your beautiful faces again in 2011!

TCB Celebrates Its Five-Year Anniversary!
What can we say except that we're honored and humbled by your continued support for these last five years! From its living room beginnings in 2005, This Charming Band has grown into a nation-travelling, venue-packing, flower-throwing Smiths and Morrissey love fest, and we have all of you (and of course The Smiths) to thank! We've now been around as long as The Smiths themselves were, and if that doesn't frighten you, then join us next Friday (11/12) at San Francisco's Café Du Nord for an anniversary celebration! Not only will it be a night stuffed with all of your favorite Smiths tunes, but you'll also have the pleasure of seeing our friends For The Masses from way back in the early days! We hope to see some old faces and some new, so if you've been waiting for the right show to be your first, or if you haven't seen us since 2005, come out and join us! A sell out is likely, so you may want to invest in advanced tickets here. We can't wait to see you all!

Bako Bill Confirmed; Anniversary News
Just wanted to mention that rockabilly outlaws The 454's are now slated to join us next Friday (10/15) in Bakersfield, and of course the very next night we'll be joined by For The Masses in Fresno (10/16)! Are you as excited about next weekend as we are? Check out the shows page for all the specifics. Also, you'll notice we've got a new San Francisco show on the calendar too... TCB will be celebrating its five year anniversary with a massive show at Café Du Nord (11/12)! More on that as it gets closer, but suffice it to say that you won't want to miss the festivities as we look back on a half decade of great music and friends...

Heading For The Fall
We'd like to thank everyone who joined us this last weekend in San Jose and Sacramento! We debuted a few new songs and brought back the double bass for some rockabilly numbers. We were again aided by the incomparable Virgil Simpelo, as well as supported by Erasure-esque and The Snobs. Thank you guys for getting up there with us! Now it's time to look towards autumn, where we'll be coming back to Bakersfield (10/15 @ Fishlips) and Fresno (10/16 @ Audie's Olympic). Stay tuned for more details as they become clear.

Well friends, we hope you'll help us celebrate summer with a weekend of Northern California shows coming up in August... We'll be starting off on Friday (8/13) in San Jose at The Blank Club, joined by fabulous tribute Erasure-esque! Then Saturday (8/14), we're headed up to Sacramento to perform at Blue Lamp with locals The Snobs! We expect to have some new songs and new faces as we wile away those last aestival hours. Why not come along?

Tossed Salads And Scambled Eggs
We wanted to thank everyone for an amazing Morrissey birthday show at Slim's last month. It was another huge success, and we're thrilled you were all a part of it! Thanks to Love Vigilantes, Fascination Street, and Jenny Wehrt for joining us. There's also the matter of last weekend in Seattle... we had loads of fun with Love Vigilantes at Tractor Tavern, and we hope you did too. Special thanks to Virgil Simpelo of San Diego's Still Ill for sitting in with us there! (There's a chance "Voz" will be doing more shows with us in the near term as TCB searches for our permanent replacment on lead vocals.) Looking forward to seeing you little charmers in August when we'll be returning to San Jose's Blank Club and Sacramento's Blue Lamp! More on that as the dates get closer.

Morrissey's Birthday In San Francisco!
Thanks to all the wonderful people who came out this weekend in Bako and Fresno to celebrate The Smiths with us! Bakersfield was great, and Fresno never disappoints. We hope to see you all again very soon! Special thanks to For The Masses for helping us out with their triumphant return! The big news is that we're finishing up our Spring "tour" this Saturday (5/22) with our biggest night of the year: our massive Morrissey birthday show at Slim's in San Francisco! But you don't have to be turning 51 to get in, because Slim's is an all ages venue! (OK, technically you have to be at least 6, but we expect most of you are.) We'll be joined by spot-on Seattle tributes Love Vigilantes and Fascination Street. These guys are amazing! And don't forget that Jenny Wehrt's "Saint Morrissey" painting from the flyer will be raffled off to one lucky fan during the show! If you only see us once this year, see us at Slim's! You can get your advanced tickets here. We can't wait!

How The Midwest Was Won
Our first trip out to the Midwest was loads of fun, and we hope those of you who made it out for the shows in Chicago and Milwaukee enjoyed them! And thanks again to Love Vigilantes for joining us! We hope to be out there again soon. This weekend, we're heading out again... this time for our Bakersfield debut at Fishlips (5/14) and then Fresno at the all ages Starline (5/15). And with us will be special guests: the just-reformed For The Masses, our old Depeche Mode tribute friends from the early days of TCB. We haven't played with them in ages... so don't miss out!

Off To The Windy City!
First off, thanks to all the SoCal fans that made last weekend's shows so fun! We hope to be back soon! Now this upcoming weekend, we'll be travelling further than ever with shows in Chicago (Double Door, 5/6) and Milwaukee (Shank Hall, 5/7). We've never played out that way, and who knows how soon we'll make it out there again? So don't miss your chance to see TCB in the Midwest for the first time ever!
April 14th, 2010
We're looking forward to seeing you all at the SoCal shows next week! We'll be bringing in some new songs and dusting off some old ones! And just announced, we'll be joined at The Juke Joint (4/24) by rockabilly outfit The 454's! In other news, with all these shows coming up, that also means a lot of flyers. Check out the shows page for all the new flyers, and pay special attention to the one for Slim's on Morrissey's birthday. This year, our flyer for this special occasion features the painting "Saint Morrissey" by local artist Jenny Wehrt. As an added bonus, this very painting will be raffled off to a lucky fan during the show! As if you needed yet another reason to come out!

Yet Even More New Shows... TCB Heads (Mid)West!
They have finally been confirmed: two more shows, bringing our current total to a whopping eight shows over the next three months (seven of those in just the next two months)! This Charming Band will finally venture east to Chicago (Double Door, 5/6) and then Milwaukee (Shank Hall, 5/7)! So many new shows, our fingers are tired from typing them all. Check out the shows page for all the details regarding this very busy spring/summer for TCB!

Even More New Shows; TCB In The News!
Hello charmers! Just wanted to mention three more shows at three new venues, just added for the next few months! In May, we'll finally be making our Bakersfield debut at the venerable Fishlips (5/14). That's immediately followed by a return to Fresno at the all ages Starline (5/15). And if that wasn't enough, in June we'll be back up in Seattle at the stellar Tractor Tavern (6/19). Just one look at our shows page and you can see how busy these next few months are shaping up to be. And there are even a few more potential shows on the horizon! One last thing... check out the cover story at Covers online magazine, and you'll see some feedback from us and several other tributes!

Springing Forward To New Shows!
Last night's Sacramento show was every bit the party we expected! Thanks to all of you who came out in force, and special thanks to The Snobs for opening up the night with a rockin' set. Our three-week streak may be over, but April will see the beginning of a whole slew of new spring and summer shows! Just announced are a couple of SoCal shows including Club London (at El Cid in Silver Lake) on 4/22, and then Anaheim's Juke Joint on 4/24. We haven't had a whole weekend down in SoCal for two years, and believe us when we say that we're really looking forward to coming back! We hope that you discerning Smiths fans to the south will welcome our return. On top of that, our next big San Francisco show will be another huge (all ages) Morrissey birthday celebration at Slim's on 5/22! Last year's show was absolutely amazing, and this year will see a new and exciting lineup. Details to come on these shows, as well as the many, many more that are in the works. In the meantime, stay handsome!

Third Time's The "Charm"
We sure hope you didn't miss last night's massive sold out show in Fresno! Thanks to the hundreds of you that came to sing and dance with us, and of course to Dead Souls for helping to make the night such a huge success. Fresno never disappoints us. We hope the feeling is mutual. But it's not over yet... our three-weekend streak culminates this Saturday (3/13) in Sacramento at another one of our favorite haunts: Blue Lamp! And we're breaking tradition a bit this time... rather than just us, we'll also be joined by local legends The Snobs. We're looking forward to it. Are you?

When In Chrome
We had a great time at Santa Rosa's brand new Chrome Lotus club last night, and we hope you all did too! This place is sure to be a welcome addition to Santa Rosa's nightlife. But there's hardly time to take a breath, because we're jumping right back into the fray (3/6) with a killer show at one of our favorite venues: Fresno's Club Fred! And unlike our usual solo nights there, this time we're bringing along our friends Dead Souls. Fresno has already, without exception, been a wild night for us... but now with the help of Dead Souls, we might actually bring the house down. Beware!

Selling Out The Blank, Meeting Johnny Marr
What an amazing sold out show last night in San Jose! We hope you all enjoyed the mix of hits and deep cuts, Smiths and Moz solo. Big thanks to all the fans and friends that joined us for the celebration and stayed to the end! And special thanks to Sing Blue Silver who helped us out with the debut of their killer new lineup! Now, in about three weeks, we'll be up in Santa Rosa (2/26) at the new Chrome Lotus. Hope to see you there! Quick side note: our guitarist Benjamin was recently fortunate enough to meet his hero -- Johnny Marr himself -- after a Cribs show in S.F. The verdict? "Johnny Marr just could not have been a nicer guy, and it was an absolute honor and pleasure meeting him!"

2 + 2 = 4
Thank you all who joined us at Red Devil Lounge on the 8th! We saw a lot of new faces and a lot of you dancing and singing along to every song... even the deep cuts. Bravo! Is it safe to assume your first TCB show won't be your last? For those of you who've been with us a while, you already knew that Fresno and Sacramento were coming up in March. But just announced, we've also got San Jose and Santa Rosa in February! In San Jose (2/5), it'll be the venerable Blank Club, where we're excited to be joined by the newly-reformed Sing Blue Silver (tribute to Duran Duran)! Then in Santa Rosa (2/26), we'll be appearing at the brand-spanking-new Chrome Lotus with our old North Bay friends Luv'n Rockets! Check out the shows page for all the details. We're finishing out the first quarter with a quartet of fantastic California shows, and you are advised to witness at least one of them...

Happy New Year!
Welcome to 2010, friends! Thanks to the hundreds of you that came out last night and rang in the new year with TCB in Seattle! Awesome sets from Dead Souls, Love Vigilantes, and Fascination Street rounded out the evening. NYE trivia: our bassist Paul played in a staggering three of the four bands, earning him the tribute band Iron Man award. Nick also filled in for Love Vigilantes, who also saw a guest appearance by Orlandissey. Even Benjamin (our fake Johnny Marr) joined Love Vigilantes' Rickie (their fake Bernard Sumner) for a rendition of Electronic's "Getting Away With It." It all made some sort of cosmic sense in tribute land. Anyway, great times had by all! Here's to a lervely 2010! Coming up next Friday (1/8), we're already playing our first show of the decade. We'll be at Red Devil Lounge with The Reptile House. (You can get your tickets early at TicketWeb.) One last note, we've added a couple of upcoming March dates to the shows page, specifically Fresno and Sacramento. More details to come!
